portraits by commission

I am a portrait artist based in the Chicagoland area. I wish to undertake commissioned portrait projects on behalf of private clients.

Working from photographs, I create portraits in mixed media or oil paint in the styles depicted on the pages of this site. Prices vary depending on the medium and size of the portrait.

how does one commission a portrait?

1. Email your requirements and a good quality photo to charlesjonesart@gmail.com
2.  I will contact you to discuss ideas and work toward an estimate.
3.  Once concepts and costs are agreed upon, I will start work on your painting.

how long will it take

The time required depends upon the medium and size. Normally, it takes about 4-6 weeks. A timeline will be decided during our discussions about your commission.
